For the newly opened Sleep Medicine Centre within the Mental Rehabilitation Centre Beroun, equipped with polygraphic and polysomnographic examination with enhanced EEG monitoring, we are looking for new colleagues for the position of sleep technician.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS POSITION
- Preparing and performing polysomnographic examinations (PSG) as directed by physicians.
- Basic processing and evaluation of data obtained from PSG, including communicating results to other professionals.
- Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Communicating with patients before, during and after the examination, including education about the process and importance of the examination.
- Maintenance and calibration of instruments and monitoring equipment used during examinations.
- Collaborating with physicians and sleep medicine specialists in the evaluation and interpretation of examination results.
WHERE YOU WILL WORK
In the Mental Rehabilitation Centre on the premises of the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital.
WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU
- University degree in biomedical engineering or related field.
- Professional competence and experience in the field is an advantage.
- Experience in the preparation and performance of polysomnographic examinations (PSG) is an advantage but we are happy to train.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with physicians and other professionals.
- Responsibility, diligence and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy, discretion and a professional attitude.
- Organizational skills.
- Flexibility and resilience to stress.
- Willingness to learn new things.
