Movement Therapist (m/f)
WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO
We are looking for a colleague who will use movement to help patients with mental illness improve their physical fitness, mental resilience, and quality of life. You’ll become part of a multidisciplinary team where you’ll work closely with doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, and other therapists, and you’ll have the opportunity to develop modern exercise programs for both adult and pediatric patients.
WHERE YOU’LL WORK
At the Mental Health Rehabilitation Center on the grounds of the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital.
WHAT THIS POSITION ENTAILS
- Conducting individual and group exercise therapy sessions in the gym, fitness center, pool, and outdoor settings
- Supporting patients in developing physical fitness, coordination, mobility, and healthy movement habits
- Educating patients on exercise, recovery, and a healthy lifestyle
- Monitoring current trends and adapting exercise programs for patients
- Identifying inappropriate movement patterns and working to correct them Collaborating with doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU
- A college degree or higher vocational education in physical therapy, applied movement sciences, physical education, fitness training, or a related field
- interest in working with patients in the field of psychiatry and mental health
- Ability to develop and lead exercise programs for clients with varying levels of physical fitness,
- an active, empathetic, and communicative approach
- Independence, responsibility, and the ability to work as part of a team

The Mental Health Rehabilitation Center in Beroun is unique not only in the Czech Republic but also in the context of all of Europe.
