The Mental Health Rehabilitation Center in Beroun is unique not only in the Czech Republic but also in the context of Europe as a whole. It is the result of a long-term effort by Sotirios Zavalianis, the owner of the AKESO healthcare group, to provide residents with comprehensive care in a dignified environment, utilizing the most modern procedures and knowledge while maintaining all the comfort they are accustomed to in our other facilities.
Our center is part of the AKESO healthcare holding company, one of the leading healthcare providers in the Czech Republic. In addition to the Mental Rehabilitation Center, AKESO operates Hořovice Hospital, the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital, the AKESO Polyclinic in Prague, the “Ondřejov” Day Psychotherapy Sanatorium, and the Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Center, which is part of the Pardubice Region Comprehensive Oncology Center. In addition to these facilities, the AKESO Group also includes other outpatient clinics, the SENIMED pharmacy network, distributors of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, and its own construction company, Construction Team. The holding company is also affiliated with Altoa, a premium healthcare provider, and Mindwell, a digital psychotherapy platform.
Our motto , “Human Health. Humanity. Care, ” embodies the values we uphold in our facilities. Together, we are raising healthcare to a higher level.
